Real-time scanning of all incoming and outbound email through our servers has been implemented. Infected attachments will be repaired or removed and quarantined on the server to protect our clients from the recent spate of internet worms and other virus threats. Please note that this is not intended to replace virus protection software on your home computer, but as an added layer of protection.

AlternaHost has acquired a new server located in a Pennsylvania datacenter for improved performance and response times across the nation. We are pleased to report that this datacenter has been largely immune to the worm attack that has crippled much of the internet recently.

In the fourth quarter of 2003, AlternaHost will begin offering specialized plans for web designers and others who need to host multiple domain names. These plans will allow designers to purchase webspace and bandwidth in bulk blocks and allocate it themselves among the client sites they host. Designers will be able to add new sites, edit site features/specifications, and delete sites on the fly. Plans will include private nameservers so your end clients are not aware of AlternaHost's involvement. Designers can set independent pricing for their resold packages and manage their own billing to provide their clients with a one-stop solution.
